  • When you buy bracelets or soap or earrings from Trash to Treasure, you are putting food in bowls in the poorer sections of the  Philippines. How?
At this very moment, we’re working to alleviate poverty in the Philippines by teaching people to make fish-shaped bracelets out of recycled paper. Through this program, our artisans have been able to provide food for their families and send their children to school. Our success has come from following the old adage ‘give a man to fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for life.’ Rather than giving people handouts, we aid poverty-stricken families by helping them become entirely self-sufficient.

Our handcrafted paper beads are created from old magazines, brochures, and other scraps of glossy paper that  would normally be thrown away. Because the appearance of the bracelet varies based on the paper it came from, no two bracelets are exactly alike – just like the way God created you and me! These elastic bracelets are both durable and beautiful, and the story that goes with them carries a message of hope for a better future.

History and benefits of goat milk soap

Cleopatra in ancient times was known to bathe in goats milk. Goat milk is good for the skin. It has softening and moisturizing effect. Goats milk soap is far superior to other soap. They are usually more expensive and sought after than other milk products by beauty experts.
